Harrisburg, PA - The Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania named BitLeap the 2007 Technology Provider of the Year at it’s Annual Technology Awards Gala held March 23, 2007 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
The annual awards program, now in its 15th year, attracts over 500 leaders in technology from across Pennsylvania and beyond, who gather to recognize the accomplishments of individuals and companies in seven categories, including Technology Provider of the Year.

According to Technology Council President and CEO, Kelly Lewis, “As I participate in regional and national meetings with other tech leaders across our nation, it’s abundantly clear, Pennsylvania remains uniquely positioned to help lead our nation’s technology innovation.”
The recipient of Technology Provider of the Year is determined by an independent committee of professionals who have diverse and extensive experience in the technology industry and is based on the following qualifying criteria.
“The company must be a provider of technology applications, equipment, resources, and/or solutions with a significant market presence. Its offerings must enhance the strategic processes and/or operations of its customers.”
BitLeap was nominated for Technology Provider of the Year and was named a finalist at the event along with Arcus and Deloitte before the winner was revealed. The award was presented to BitLeap by Barb Bowker, the Vice President of Marketing for the award’s sponsor company, PSECU.

The award was accepted by BitLeap CEO, Guy Suter, and fellow founding partners, Ian Berry and Lindsay Snider. Injecting some humor into his response, Mr Suter referred to BitLeap’s offsite backup solution, “I forgot my 15 word speech … but don’t worry - it’s backed up by the best backup solution in the world, so it’s not lost forever. Pennsylvania is a great place to start a business! Thank you!”
Mr. Suter said of receiving this year’s award, “It is an incredible honor for BitLeap to be recognized in this way among so many outstandingly talented and innovative companies. It is nice to have something tangible we can take great pride in for our team’s hard work and effort protecting our customers. We are fortunate to be able to do the work we love and have people notice the results.”
