BitLeap Joins Cyber Security & Business Continuity Industry Partnership

Harrisburg, PA - BitLeap presented an update on the data backup and storage industry at today’s Cyber Security and Business Continuity Industry Partnership meeting at Penn State Harrisburg.

Guy Suter, BitLeap CEO, has agreed to serve as the Co-Vice Chairman of the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania’s new industry partnership, which is aimed at helping to identify methods for proper preparation against cyber security and business continuity threats.

The Cyber Security and Business Continuity Industry Partnership provides an opportunity for businesses to be informed about the uses and needs of technology, the successes and challenges of technology, and the future needs for workforce development.

BitLeap, based in Carlisle, PA, currently provides backup services for a variety of business and industry’s including, education and healthcare. BitLeap has developed an innovative method of bit-differential analysis, which allows business of any size to very efficiently store backed up data, and also makes BitLeap more affordable than other solutions.

A research report by Enterprise Storage Group, reported that nearly one out of four SMBs respondents to a 2004 survey reported that at least 20% of their recovery attempts fail.

“We understand that efficient recovery is a key part of a backup plan, BitLeap’s state-of-the-art customer interface allows customers to browse files, select which ones get backed up, view file revisions and download or restore any version of any file in minutes,” said Guy Suter.
