What is Exchange Full Smart Backup?

Exchange Full Smart Backup Example Graph

The “Smart” Exchange backup method allows BitLeap to intelligently decide when to perform a full or partial (logs-only) backup. By supplying a minimum and maximum number of days between full backups, you can be sure to have a full backup run within a maximum amount of time, but not too often.

During the days within the minimum and maximum range, a full backup will run only when the binary data queue is low, otherwise a partial backup will run. The binary data queue contains the parts waiting to be transferred offsite. The Smart backup method will avoid adding the parts of a full Exchange backup to an otherwise large queue (unless the maximum days is reached) and will perform a smaller partial backup, instead.
